Andrew Sachs is one of Britain’s best-known actors, perhaps most famous for his role as Manuel in Fawlty Towers. His career started in theatre, and went on to span TV, film and radio both as performer and scriptwriter. His voice is often heard narrating documentaries and reading poetry, and he is the regular reader on Alexander McCall Smith’s Corduroy Mansions series.
